Evangelization
We are a community who recognizes that we are Christ's disciples, called to reach out to all persons by proclaiming the Gospel in word and action; providing opportunities for deepening the faith of all members; and welcoming those who seek membership in the Church. The Evangelization Team assists people who desire to experience the richness of the Christian life.
Health & Wellness
Health Ministry is an outreach of the church, a way to give life to the gospel directive “Visit the Sick”. In times of illness and crises, the church knocks at your door through Health Ministry. It is built around a concept of self care; persons identifying an issue and seeking assistance. Even though referrals often come from worried loved ones, the person in need always has the final say. Little can be done without it. Privacy, supporting autonomy and confidentiality are key concepts.
Our Ministry is Not Just for Health Professionals - we welcome ALL parishioners!
Liturgy
Music
The music ministries at Our Mother of Good Counsel Parish consist of the following groups who minister at Liturgy on a rotating schedule: Acoustic Ensemble, Adult Choir, Cantors, Youth Choir, Accompanists and Instrumentalists. Our music ministers are encouraged to participate in all major feasts throughout the liturgical year. Advent/Christmas, Passion (Palm Sunday), and the Triduum are a must. Other activities such as concerts and Stations of the Cross are encouraged with a mandatory number of rehearsals required.
Parish Council
The Parish Pastoral Council is composed of both elected and appointed parishioners who assist the Pastor in the leadership duties of the Parish. Its purpose is to implement the Parish Mission Statement in full cooperation with the Pastor. The council meets on the first Monday of each month, from September to June. Interested parishioners are welcome and encouraged to attend these monthly meetings.
Peace & Justice
The Peace and Justice Committee is a joint committee with St. Thomas of Villanova Parish. We work in conjunction with St. Thomas of Villanova Parish Committee to serve as a resource through which our parish will become more aware of and involved in alleviating issues of injustice facing our country and world today.
RCIA
RCIA stands for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults. It is a program run by adult members of the parish. RCIA requires a modest commitment in time but we think you will find the process a lot easier than you might expect. In addition, we have found that everyone who becomes involved, young or old, highly religious or moderately so, finds it to be a wonderful experience.

Stewardship
At Our Mother of Good Counsel, STEWARDSHIP IS A WAY OF LIFE... As Christian stewards, we receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and return them with increase to the Lord.
